Concept & Objective
The main goal was clarity spatial and mental. We pursued design that minimized distractions while maximizing flexibility. The loft encourages mindful living: everything has a purpose, and nothing screams for attention. Every detail is calm, deliberate, and rooted in ease.
Where Winter Meets Warmth
The project took cues from Nordic design philosophies: clean lines, muted tones, and light as a design material. The idea was to celebrate long winters through design not just survive them. A quiet, light-filled cocoon that’s minimalist yet emotional.
Less, but Better Living
This airy loft conversion in the heart of Oslo was designed to embrace its northern latitude. With low winter light and compact spatial volumes, we optimized the layout with open zones, pale wood surfaces, and mirrored recesses. The owner a traveling entrepreneur sought a refined home that balanced comfort, clarity, and sustainable function.
Pine-clad ceilings, modular storage, and folding glass walls define the spatial rhythm. The material palette is tactile and honest: soap-treated oak, wool upholstery, and handblown glass. The kitchen island transforms into a worktable, and movable shelves allow the space to evolve. Design became a lifestyle enabler slow, intentional, and practical.
